Daily maintenance of food bowls

Apr 03, 2026 Leave a message

The most basic aspect of daily maintenance for food bowls is cleaning, but different materials require different methods. Ceramic and glass bowls are generally easy to clean; warm water and a neutral detergent are sufficient. For oil stains, soak them briefly before washing. Stainless steel bowls, however, should be cleaned with a gentle steel wool pad to avoid scratches, affecting their appearance and lifespan. Plastic bowls tend to absorb oil odors more easily, so rinse them thoroughly after washing to remove any lingering smells.

In daily use, the maintenance of food bowls also depends on usage habits. For example, plastic bowls are not suitable for storing hot food for extended periods and should not be microwaved, as this can cause deformation or even release unpleasant odors. While ceramic bowls are heat-resistant, rapid temperature changes, such as pouring hot soup directly from the refrigerator, can cause them to crack. Stainless steel bowls are relatively stable, but it's still not recommended to store acidic foods for extended periods to avoid damaging the surface.
