Hamburger boxes are generally made by folding a pre-cut piece of cardboard. The structure isn't complex; the key is in the creases and the order of the folds.
Step 1: Create the basic creases
Lay a square or template-based cardboard flat and fold along all the designed creases. This usually involves the bottom area in the center and the sides. This step is crucial; clear creases make the subsequent shaping smoother.
Step 2: Fold the bottom structure
Fold the four sides inwards to form a basic "cross" shape. Then, insert the bottom clips or inserts to secure it. Hamburger boxes usually have an interlocking bottom design that can support weight without glue.
Step 3: Fold the sides upwards
After securing the bottom, fold the cardboard around the sides upwards to form the four sides of the box. Pay attention to aligning the corners at this stage; otherwise, the box will be uneven and prone to warping.
Step 4: Fold the lid and seal the box
Finally, fold the top lid inwards. There are usually snaps or clamps to seal the box. After covering it, press down the corners slightly to make it fit better, and a hamburger box is complete.
