Raw Material Preparation and Proportioning

The production of oval plates begins with preparing the raw materials. Ceramic plates are typically made by mixing kaolin, feldspar, and quartz to create a clay mixture that is fine, uniform, and free of impurities. Glass plates require high-purity glass raw materials melted into liquid glass. Plastic plates are made by heating and melting food-grade polypropylene or polycarbonate granules. The quality of the materials directly determines the plate's sturdiness, heat resistance, and safety.

 

Molding Process

Ceramic Plates: Generally made using slip casting or mold pressing. The clay is poured into an oval mold, and then air bubbles are removed through vibration and pressing to ensure a uniform shape. After drying, a first bisque firing is performed to stabilize the shape.

Glass Plates: Molten glass is poured into an oval mold and formed by pressing or blowing. It is then slowly cooled and annealed to prevent stress cracking.

Plastic Plates: Commonly used are injection molding or blow molding processes. Molten plastic is injected into a mold, cooled, and then removed.

 

Surface Treatment and Decoration

After molding, the plates require surface treatment. Ceramic plates are typically glazed and then fired at high temperatures to achieve a smooth, wear-resistant, waterproof, and oil-proof surface. Glass plates undergo polishing or sandblasting to enhance their smoothness and aesthetics. Plastic plates may receive scratch-resistant treatments or be printed with patterns. Some ceramic or glass plates also feature non-slip bottoms or thickened edges to improve practicality and safety.

 

Quality Inspection and Packaging
All finished plates undergo rigorous quality inspection, including checks on dimensions, flatness, load-bearing capacity, and surface defects. Only qualified plates are packaged, stored, or shipped.
